This two day weekend beer brewing and beer sommelier course will give you the expert skills to brew beer to a high level combined with insights on beer flavours, ingredients and beer styles together with identifying off flavours in beer and how they can be occur though the beer brewing process.

Advanced Beer Brewing Skills (DAY 1)

Day one of this 2 day brewing and beer sommelier course covers all the aspects you need to take your beer brewing to another level.  On the day with our award winning brewing tutor Alex Barlow of Triple Point Brewery - Sheffield you will cover the following brewing topics which will include:

Beer Sommelier Course (DAY 2)

On the 2nd day of this week brewing and beer sommelier course we take a deep dive into beer flavours and their appreciation.

This one day beer sommelier course with Annabel Smith one of the UK's leading beer sommeliers will give you the skills to sample and taste beer and talk confidently about flavours and beer styles and then relate these to both the ingredients used and the brewing process.  It will also teach you to identify potential off flavours in beer and highlight some of the potential causes in the brewing process.

This beer sommelier course will include a short beer tasting session together with a food matching element to determine how beer styles and flavours are influenced by different food types.

This beer sommelier course will be examined and following the successful completion of the exam participants will be awarded a Brew-School beer sommelier award.

Course times approx 9:30 - 4:30

This course includes refreshments and lunch from a local restaurant.
