This Personal Licence Holders course is a Level 2 nationally recognised qualification designed for anyone authorising the retail sale of alcohol in a licensed premises. The law states that in accordance with The Licensing Act 2003 (England and Wales), anyone who is responsible for the sale of alcohol to the public must be a Personal Licence Holder. A Personal Licence is required by anyone authorising the sale of alcohol from a Licensed Premises. All Licensed Premises must have an allocated Personal Licence Holder, known as the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS). The DPS must authorise every sale of alcohol.

On the day you will be taken through the practicalities of producing your own fruit liqueurs by award winning fruit liquor manufacturer Mike Norton from Hogg Norton Fruit Liqueurs in Derbyshire.

Gin School is a gentle introduction to the art and experience of distilling gin. On this full day Gin Distilling Experience will introduce you to the world of distilling. Start the day exploring the history of gin and looking at the array of botanicals, which give each craft gin it’s own unique flavour. You will gain a unique insight into the world of professional gin distilling and the different gin styles and understand why this distilled spirit is such an iconic global drink enjoyed around the world. After the morning’s introduction to gin, you will enjoy a gourmet lunch before the afternoon session, when you get down to creating and distilling your own small batch gin. This will be created to your own recipe using one of our handcrafted Portugese copper pot stills and at the end of the day you can take away and enjoy your own signature gin.

This international Diploma in spirits and Practical Commercial Distilling spread over 2 weeks of study. The course has a number of elements and will potentially give you 2 internationally recognised qualifications: the WSET Level 2 in Spirits and Distilling along with the Institute of Brewing and Distilling's Foundations in Distilling giving you the perfect grounding to start your own distilling business in the UK or abroad.

This is a 2 day spirits, liqueurs and distilling course that opens your mind to the fascinating world of spirits, liqueurs and fortified drinks. Develop your bar and mixology skills and advance your employability in the fascinating bar world by developing your expertise in tasting and appreciating fine spirits and liqueurs. You will gain an understanding on how spirits and liqueurs are produced and how the principal raw materials translate into the key spirit flavour styles. You then go on to look at the time honoured principles of how to serve spirits and how to utilise spirits to create mind blowing cocktails. This spirits and distilling course is a great introduction to our Practical Commercial Distilling Course and also will provide the internationally recognised Level 2 WSET qualification for anybody looking to run their own bar or working as a bartender / mixologist in the hospitality industry.
