Wine appreciation, Viticulture & Winemaking Course (5 days) (JUST 5 PLACES)

wine appreciation, viticulture vineyard set up wine making

This winemaking and wine appreciation course looking at all aspects of vineyard set up will give the background and understanding to plough forward in your set up of a commercial vineyard and winery.

The intensive 5 day course uniquely combines an international level 2 qualification in wine appreciation with a highly focused, pragmatic winery and vineyard set up courses.

The 3 separate elements will ensure that you will be well placed to take your commercial ideas for your new vineyard and winery forward in the most appropriate way.

The course starts with a 3 day wine appreciation course run to an internationally recognised syllabus and taking in the expert knowledge on grapes, labelling, storage and ageing of the wine to service, appreciation and wine tasting.

We follow the first element with a day looking in depth at the viticulture and wine cultivation involved in setting up your own vineyard.  To make great wine you first need to grow great grapes.  This element of the course will show you how.

Having produced your stunning crop of grapes we then show you how you can use the grapes to make a range of stunning wines by: harvesting, crushing the grapes, fermenting the grape juice and the clarifying and aging the grape based product. Delicious!
