Comprehensive Brewing Course

This is an 8 Day Practical Commercial Brewing Course incorperating 3 elements on this most comprehensive of our beer brewing courses which will give you the opportunity to go on and take the General Certificate of Brewing (GCB) Qualification the international recognised brewing qualification. 

Over the 8 consecutive days of brewing knowledge you will undertake 3 elements:

Full GCB Brewing Training (5 days)

Be taken through by 3 Masterbrewers the full syllabus of the GCB in a fun and interactive way slowly building up your knowledge of brewing in a commercial context and allowing you to sit with confidence the IBD exams.

Brewday & Recipe Development (2 days)

Experience a brewday at an award winning Peak District microbrewery working alongside their brewer to see how they brew on their 2.5 bbl test plant.  On a seperate day you get to work with out expert brewing tutor in our Advanced brewing techniques day looking at beer recipe development and developing more practical advance brewing skills.

Advanced brewing theory (1 day)

Finally, look at in depth at the science of brewing with our organic chemist drilling down into understanding at a molecular level which compounds are so important to the flavour of beer and the brewing process.  In additon we look at the importance and function of yeast in brewing.  This is a fascinating recap of the previous 7 days but will also take your understanding of the brewing compounds to a degree level.
