Brew With A Brewer Experience (Brewday) (SOLD OUT)

brew with a brewer brewing experience

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a brewer working in a commercial microbrewery?

Are you curious to see how beer is produced in a commercial setting? Are you thinking of setting up your own microbrewery or work in one in the future?  If so, this is an ideal and fascinating taster session.

Brew with a brewer

On this unique one day beer brewing experience working alongside a commercial brewer in an award winning microbrewery set in a stunning location within the picturesque Peak District, you will get unrivalled insights into the brewing process in a commercial brewery.

Work in a microbrewery alongside a brewer

On the day you start by mashing in followed by sparging and then getting the boil on in the copper. During this time we will take the opportunity to have the odd brewers break and look at the brewing process in more detail. We will look at the various malts and hops available and assess them. During this experience day there will be plenty of opportunities to question the head brewer about life as a professional brewer.

Once the boil has completed we take you through the hop additions and explain the importance of the bittering hops and aroma hops to create the unique beer style that is UK real ale/craft beer. We add in the all important brewing yeast and demonstrate how to clear beer so it comes out as bright cask conditioned beer. Finally we decant the lovely beer into the fermenting vessel for the brewing yeast to do it’s stuff ready to be racked off into casks and then distributed across the Peak District to be enjoyed and experienced by discerning real ale and craft beer enthusiasts. The perfect pint!
